The official handing over of the Ayetoro Public Health centre facility, renovated by Yaba LCDA and managed by Doctors Without Borders, a Non Health Governmental Organisation based in Spain came up on Friday, 28^th September, 2012 in a farewell programme organised in honour of members of Medicines sans frontieres (Doctors Without Borders).

The organisation which came in three years ago to partner with the administration of Hon Jide Jimoh in the area of health care service delivery to the people of the community worked assiduously towards the provision of free and qualitative heath care service delivery to the people of Yaba and its environs.

In his speech, Hon Jide Jimoh thanked God Almighty for making the partnership to work. He commended the selfless service rendered by the team of Doctors Without Borders to the people of Yaba and its environment. He wished them God protection, journey mercy and more services to humanity as they proceed to another area of assignment.

The occasion witnessed the delivery of a bouncing baby boy by the team of Doctors at the PHC as the programme was going on. The chairman thanked God Almighty for safe delivery and congratulated the joyful mother. He named the boy Olajide.

In his response, the coordinator of team, Dr Dakide thanked members of the community for their friendly and accommodating attitude which contributed immensely to their success in the assignment. He commended them for their cooperation and support and said they would be remembered for their love towards the team.

Highlight of the programme was the presentation of gifts to the departing doctors.
