YABA LOCAL COUNCIL

HONOURABLE ADEGBOYEGA ASURAMU CLEARS DRAINAGES.

One of the attributes of good representation in democratic governance is the need for those put in the position to listen to the yearnings of the people and be proactive in attending to their request.

This assertion was demonstrated by the councillor of Ward A in Yaba, Honourable Adegboyega Asuramu as he personally supervised the clearing of drainages along Old Yaba road in Adekunle. The councillor said it became necessary considering the adverse effect of flood on the lives of the people.

He also used the period to advise the inhabitants of Old Yaba Road to desist from throwing refuse into the drainages. ‘Drainages are constructed to give way for free flow of water and if any of the drainages is blocked, it may lead to flooding’, he said. He promised to do his best for the people of his ward.

Good work man. Endeavor to wake your other councillors from their slumber(s), let their representation be felt and complement the able working Chairman
