The Executive Chairman, Yaba LCDA Hon Jide Jimoh was displeased with the operation of an illegal crèche purportedly owned by Zonta Club. The chairman ordered the immediate closure when he paid an unscheduled visit to Sabo market within Yaba where he met the place un-conducive for such an operation.

The chairman, who was visibly worried about the discovery, asserted that apart from the fact that a market place was not an ideal place for such operation; it is illegal for any club to operate a crèche in the heart of a market.

Besides, the two shops used were not properly ventilated and the environment too noisy and dirty for children of that age. Against the background of the inability of the operator to explain the circumstances surrounding the setting-up of the school, he called on the operator to pack up and the place be sealed up.

The closure of this unapproved ZONTA CRECHE operation is appauded. Running a day care in unclean and noisy environment exposes the kids to various desease. Good work by the Chairman on your visitation.

  2. Sewanu

U have done well mr chairman, but my candid opinion is that u should be thinking of overall redevelopment of that place, the drainage are so bad that it stincks daily, let us not leave the important issue for sentimental ones, thank umfor being active and performing to expectation

  3. Bode

Cleaning of our environment should be part of our sole responsibilities, not only the government. The drainage in Sabo is bastardize as a result of market people dumping refuse. A collective exercise needed to be conducted, as this will improve a better health wise for the people within that environment. I also, agreed with Akin on the closure of Zonta Creche, such environment is not good for kids to stay.
