YABA LCDA LAUNCHES FREE AMBULANCE SERVICE……..doles out materials for the physically challenged people.

Another landmark record was set today 5th of July, 2012 in the history of grassroots governance as the indefatigable chairman of Yaba LCDA; Hon AbdulRaheem Olajide Jimoh commissioned and launched 24 hours free Ambulance service in Yaba and its environs.

The occasion which attracted the political bigwigs in the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria was a unique one in the sense that wheel chairs and crutches were presented to the physically- challenged people in the LCDA and first aid boxes refilled for all Primary Schools in the LCDA.

In his address, Hon Jide Jimoh emphasised the importance of free ambulance services to the rescue of the people in times of emergency situations which may arise as a result of road accidents, child birth or sudden sickness. He stressed that medical personnel would be on ground to render emergency services to the people.

He called on the people to make the best use of the service aimed at rendering efficient and effective health care service delivery. He announced that two phone numbers with which members of the public could reach managers of the ambulances have been dedicated for this purpose. The numbers are:012951735 and 012951563.

In his own remark, the honourable commissioner for special duties, Dr Wale Ahmed who represented the Governor of Lagos State, Mr abatunde Raji Fashola commended the LCDA for the initiative aimed at improving the standard and quality of health service in the community. He enjoined the LCDA to key into Alausa emergency central lines 767 and 112 for easy access in terms of emergency.

At the occasion were bale of Iwaya, Chief Murtala Oloko, chief imam of Mainland, Alhaji Sabitu, Otunba Adetayo Oyemade, Chief Tunde Okusanya, Hon Linda John and members of her legislative arm, council manager, Tunde Ojikutu and other management team.Others are council’s executive members, CDC chairman and his executives, party chieftains and members,head teachers and pupils from various primary schools and members of the public.
