The graduation ceremony, which took place at the Chief Mrs Oluremi Tinubu Hall, was attended by party stalwarts from the Lagos Central senatorial district, members of Executive and Legislative arms, management team, party faithful and members of the public.
The coordinator of Lanyk Venture, the organiser of the training programme, said the aim of going into skill acquisition and empowerment training programmes was to eradicate poverty in Nigeria and to ensure that people were self- reliant and independent. She commended the Chairman, Hon. Jide Jimoh for the opportunity given to them to partner with the council in the training and empowerment of her teeming youths and women in the LCDA. She said that the turnout was encouraging and the participants were so cooperative and that within the few weeks spent, they had been able to start production on their own. To her, the participants had become masters on their own.
The Chairman, in his speech, thanked God Almighty for making the programme a huge success. He lauded Lanyk for partnering with the council while noting that the programme was made possible with the cooperation and approval of the Executive members. He expressed his happiness that through the knowledge and skills they had acquired, the participants were no longer job-seekers but employers of labour. He also announced, to the admiration and applause of the graduands, that the council would provide a token as takeoff grants to assist the participants.

My name is Funke Ajayi, one on the participant in the just concluded training organized by Yaba lcda. I expected a usual kangaroo arrangement from this programme since its a local government affair, until i participated in the training. On my own, i can coordinate and bake any function cake. I remained overwhelmed and pray for God’s wisdom and protection for the organizer. I thank Hon. Jide Jimoh for his hard working spirit, ensuring a better life and growth for us.
Good one from a man with a good team, well nothing I believe is impossie . Meanwhile I want the chairman to put more into empowering ppl, sure some people must have bn working hard in that department or ministry I say more power to their elbow as well
Big things start small ,congratulations to ur team and u in particular Jide Jimoh, iddleness will soon become a thing of history if this continue in mainland . Information is vital pls always give it to us early to gain in ur programmes as well
Kudos to yaba lcda! Now am delighted with the performance of Hon. Jide Jimoh and his developmental spirit. This lcda has become d best in lagos state. What make me to rate u best is that this LG recently won IBILE GAMES which shows that ur policy plan is achieve gradually. Now u empower residents on hw to be sole proprietor of what they trained for. And the council wil give them token to start up the business. U are too much JJ! Pls,all the beneficiaries should not fold their hands until big money comes rather start now and sell to ur neigbourhood. What is Mainland LG doing? Ts being long av read about LADO in newspapers even on social network. Less i forget, ur information department is trying in term of giving us adequate info. on facebook and twitter. Ride on yaba lcda!
