The Executive chairman Yaba LCDA, Hon Abdul Raheem Olajide Jimoh on Thursday 1^st December Inaugurates Revenue Committee in line with the newly enacted Lagos State House of Assembly law cap 57 which was passed on 1^st of August 2011 and signed by the Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola.

The chairman in his address said that what is being witnessed is one of the legal responsibilities of the administration and that Yaba LCDA is the first council in Lagos State to inaugurate the revenue committee since the enactment of the enabling law that set up the committee. He charged the committee to discharge their responsibility with utmost sincerity, shun any act of corruption and always be diligent in their assignment.

He reiterated that on the assumption of office of his administration, the IGR of the council was N23m in 2008 and this was greatly improved upon and increased to N99.5m and the council is determined to reach N150m in this new dispensation. He called on the committee to work hard so as to achieve the desirable target.

The newly inaugurated committee is headed by a chartered accountant by profession, Mrs Mofoluwake Williams, to be supported by Mr Falolu Elemide a tax / Revenue consultant. Other members of the committee are the council Treasurer, Mr Tunde Amusa, legal officer Mrs Ganiat Anifowoshe and Mr Tunde Ojikutu, the council manager.

The chairman enjoined them to be determined and committed despite the challenges therein so as to achieve the desirable goals.
