SENATOR OLUREMI TINUBU EMPOWERS PETTY TRADERS IN LAGOS CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT WITH N13 MILLION GRANT.

The occasion which took place at the Oluremi Tinubu Hall in Yaba LCDA was witnessed by Leaders in the Lagos Central Senatorial District, ACN women leaders, LGA Chairmen and party faithful. The gesture which was the fulfilment of one of her promises saw 50 time Petty traders receiving N20, 000.00 each to boost an existing petty trade in the state which serve as a way of wealth creation in the central Senatorial district of Lagos state.
In her speech, Chief Mrs Oluremi Tinubu said the beneficiaries of the scheme will be drawn from thirteen Local council development areas as a way of spreading the dividend of democracy to the people. Beneficiaries will receive the sum of Twenty thousand Naira (N20, 000.00) each to capitalise an existing petty trade. This commitment, she said is in line with the cardinal programme of Action Congress of Nigeria commitment in improving the general well being of the people.
Chief Mrs Tinubu asserted that the scheme is not only meant for the party supporter alone but for all and sundry; especially people residing in the Lagos central senatorial District. She said only the needy will be considered in the selection of the process so as to guarantee fair-mindedness and ensure that only the needy are considered.
The head of the selection committee is former commissioner for Finance, Lagos State Hon. Wale Edun with a representative from Community Development Council, ACN Chairmen, women Leader, Iyaloja general, and Wives of the council Chairmen. Each applicant is expected to complete an application form with two (2) passport photographs and with a notable referee from the applicant domain.
The completed application forms are to be submitted on or before 5th December, 2011 through the office of chairman where the beneficiary resides by the wife of the council chairman. Successful beneficiaries will be released on the maiden town hall meeting with Senator Oluremi Tinubu on 18th December, 2011. Skye bank is the official Banker of the programme.
