The outer end of third mainland bridge leading to Adekunle bus stop witnessed a big crowd of party supporters that gathered on Tuesday 4^th of October, 2011 to celebrate the victory of Hon Jide Jimoh as the flag bearer of Action congress of Nigeria in the coming council election. The supporters which included the Okada riders in Yaba LCDA gave the chairman a triumphant convoy into the council secretariat.

The chairman, in his short speech, appreciated his teeming supporters and informed them that the final list of all chairmanship candidates and councillors of all Local Government and council development areas duly signed by the state party chairman, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale had been released and published in the  ‘’The Nation Newspaper’’.  He therefore pleaded with his supporters not engage in a fight with anybody but rather remained focus on the coming polls.

Also on that day, The Share Descendant Union (Lagos branch) paid a solidarity visit to the chairman in his office at Adekunle. The group led by Mr Abdullahi Yemi Lawal praised the chairman for his exemplary leadership quality and his achievements in the last three years. Other members of the group are Mr Abdul Rafiu Balogun, Abdul Lateef Abdul Salami, Owoyemi Adeniyi and Hon. Wale Bamidele. The group wished him success at the polls as he contested for the position of chairman in the coming council election. The group later presented souvenirs and campaign materials to the chairman as the group’s support towards achieving victory at the polls. The chairman thanked them and promised to improve on all that he had done in the last three years if elected.
