Yaba LCDA Chairman (Hon. Jide Jimoh) Receives Furnitures Donated By Fomwan.

FOMWAN Donates Furniture to Yaba LCDAAs part of their week long activities marking the existence of federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria, the Amirah of the organisation, Alhaja Sariyu.O. Sanusi made presentation of furnitures for the use of Talimun Islamiyyah Primary School, Adekunle, Yaba LCDA.

In her speech, the Amirah, Alhaja Sariyu Sanusi asserted that the organisation mission objectives are in three major areas and these are Education, Health and Youth empowerment. She then said in order to partner with the state Government in her quest to improve the standard of Education in a conducive learning enviroment made the organisation to donate furnitures for the use of the school as their own little contributions. Education, she said is the best lagacy that can be left for our children since they are the leaders of tomorrow. To the organisation, State Government cannot shoulder the responsibility alone; hence all hands must be on deck; individuals,corporate organisations,societies,clubs etc must rally round the State Government.

Receiving the Furnitures on behalf of the State Deputy Governor, the Executive Chairman of Yaba LCDA Hon. Abdul-Raheem Olajide Jimoh praised the efforts of FOMWAN for their kind gestures towards improving the Standard of Education in Lagos State in general and Yaba LCDA in particular. He said what they have done is an indication that the organisation is sensitive to Government programmes and are ready to make a meaningful contributions aim at supporting the Government. He called on all other groups within the state to follow this good examples. He was highly delighted that one of the schools within his domain is the beneficiary of this laudable gesture.

Present at the presentation are Mrs Oyegbola from the Deputy Governor’s office, the Executive members YLCDA, the Legislative arm led by the Leader of the house, Hon. Shehu Ishola, representative of SUBEB, Mainland Local Government Education Secretary, Special assistance and the entire Executive and members of FOMWAN. The occasion was a memorable one.
